We call the total concentration of calcium ion (Ca2+) and magnesium ion (Mg2+) in water sample to be the hardness of water.
The instrument adopts electrode method for testing, and its accuracy is the same as EDTA volumetric method as well as can avoid many shortcomings in EDTA volumetric method, such as complicated operation, uncertain judgment of terminal point and unsuitable use in turbid and colored water sample. Notable features for this instrument read as following:
●Adopt model SA29-601 water hardness combination electrode which consists of measuring electrode, Ag/AgCl reference electrode and temperature sensor. The PVC sensitive membrane of measuring electrode is made of active matter comes from new neutral carrier, which has equal selectivity for Ca2+ and Mg2+ ion in water sample. It has features of new structure, stable electrode potential, quick response and use easily.
●The electronic unit adopts intelligent chip design, which has intelligent function of automatic calibration, automatic temperature compensation, and data storage and automatically locks measuring value etc.
●Eight water hardness units can be selected freely: mmol/L, mg/L (CaCO3), mg/L(CaO) and mmol/L (Boiler), mg/L (Ca), ˚fH, ˚dH and ˚eH.
●Equip with B1, B2 and B3 calibration solution.
●Model SA29-YD300 is waterproof design (IP67) and equips with a special carrying case.
